Our story

Wild at heart.

Why a hospitality career ended in the bush, and what came out of it.

Twenty years, then a decision

Chris Culbert started working in hospitality at fifteen. Two decades later he stepped away from the industry entirely, not to start something, but to get back to nature, reconnect with Africa and work out what came next.

That search led into hunting and safari logistics. SAVVA came out of it.

Africa was not the escape. It was the answer.

What he brought with him

  • Hospitality

Twenty years of it, and a diploma behind the instinct.

  • Project management

The part that makes a plan hold under pressure.

  • Professional hunter

A PH course taken to understand the country, not to hang on a wall.

  • Service

Learned at fifteen, and still the thing the company runs on.

The logistics are what we do

The PH course was never about the qualification. It was about getting closer to Africa, understanding the environment, the people and the animals well enough to talk about any of it on a long drive.

That is the difference between a company that moves people and a company that takes them somewhere. The logistics are what we do. The experience is why we do it.

The way we operate

  • Curious.
  • Adventurous.
  • Flexible.
  • Passionate.
  • Connected to nature.
  • Driven by service.

Wild at heart. Professional in execution.
